Eco Services’ journey began in 2010 when three friends and entrepreneurs shared a vision of creating the leading environmental management company in the Dominican Republic. The company started small, renting a warehouse, driving its own trucks, and handling every aspect of the business themselves. At that time, it operated under the name “Ecoservices Dominicana by Gerosa,” and served only one hotel client.
Through determination and hard work, Eco Services grew rapidly. By 2013, it became the only company in the Caribbean certified with both ISO 9001 and 14001 for quality and environmental management. The company expanded its services to include consulting, auditing, training, and the development of sustainability projects for both the public and private sectors.

Eco Services, as part of its initiatives, actively supports the Responsible Ecotourism Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the natural environment through education to promote social and environmental sustainability.
Founded in 2010 and formally registered in 2012, the foundation brings together people passionate about nature, biodiversity, and social issues. It works in collaboration with hundreds of volunteers to develop educational and environmental projects related to sustainable tourism in the Dominican Republic. The main goal is to reduce the impact of tourism on the environment while engaging tourism businesses, local communities, and environmental management experts.
To date, over 10,000 people have received environmental training and participated in conservation projects, working hand in hand with children and adults from various communities. The foundation’s goal is to provide tools that encourage personal development while minimizing environmental impact. This work also contributes to the development of disadvantaged communities, integrating families and communities into a shared effort for environmental development.
